ABOUT ME

For all of my adult life, I've identified as a writer. That included roles as journalist, fiction writer, and podcaster. I've also been an entrepreneur, starting the local website Baristanet in 2004. In 2012, I helped launch the NJ News Commons and the Center for Cooperative Media at Montclair State University. In 2015, with my family, I produced the award-winning Chemo Files podcast about  having cancer. But starting in 2018, inspired by my friend Noel Nowicki, a physician-turned-painter, I returned to a lifetime hobby of  creating visual art.  I am currently concentrating on iPad paintings and acrylics, with an occasional sketch using watercolor crayons. Most of my work is for sale, including iPad paintings, which can be made into Giclee prints. Contact me to visit my studio or ask about prices.

In addition to my artwork, I have also worked on a variety of other media projects, including a digital magazine and an award-winning podcast.
